The Story

About StoryTable

Hello! My name is Marisa Woo and I'm a fellow foodie living in Seattle, WA. Ever since I was a kid, I have been obsessed with food and the gathering of people. I started in my play kitchen as a kid, collected many cookbooks, and now cook and bake with my family and friends consistently! I made StoryTable to be a space for others to share the recipes that shaped them, along with the memories, people, and traditions that make those dishes meaningful. It also makes sharing recipes feel more accessible, giving people a way to publicly preserve their food stories without needing to start their own blog, build a platform, or publish a cookbook.

How is StoryTable Different?

There are many recipe websites and blogs, but StoryTable is not only about the recipe. Here, the story matters just as much as the dish. Instead of focusing only on how to make it, StoryTable focuses on the meaning behind the meal. It is a place for food that feels personal! Even if you don't have a story, StoryTable is a place to remember the small moments and people that make a recipe worth sharing. I made this space as a way for other foodies to connect with others and easily be able to share their recipes as well, so no pressure to write a sophisticated narrative!
